Isolaz is effective for:

• Acne lesions

• Patients of all ages, all skin types and most acne grades (including acne vulgaris)

• Non-responders to other acne treatments (topical and oral)

• Body acne (back and chest) as well as facial acne

How does Isolaz work?

Isolaz is a unique, FDA approved therapy for treatment of refractory acne that combines vacuum technology with broadband light to deliver effective acne treatment. The vacuum loosens and extracts dirt, blackheads and excess oil from deep within your pores. The light destroys bacteria that causes acne, and reduces facial redness.

What type of acne does Isolaz treat?

Isolaz is effective for pustular and inflammatory acne on the face, chest and back. It is utilized on patients with both light and dark complexions.

How quickly should I expect results?

Although the process of treating acne requires time and patience, you can experience initial results within 24-48 hours, including reduced redness, cleaning of skin discoloration and immediate drying and flattening of the blemish. Treatment with Isolaz should occur in combination with your prescribed skin care regimen.

What should I expect over a longer time period with ongoing treatment?

Patients experience a significant decrease in the number of acne lesions (spots, pimples, pustules) and a decrease in the amount of oil production. Additionally, treatment with Isolaz often results in an overall smoother skin texture.

How long is the treatment?

Facial treatments take approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The time varies with chest and back treatments.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients require two to six treatments separated every 2-4 weeks.

I’ve tried everything for my acne, including Accutane® (Isotretinoin). Will Isolaz treatment really work for me?

While everyone’s skin is different, many patients who have not responded to other acne treatments, including Accutane have responded to Isolaz treatments.

I’m currently on Accutane® (Isotretinoin). Can I get an Isolaz treatment?

Isolaz treatment can be performed while you are on medications, such as antibiotics. Isolaz should not be performed if you are currently taking Accutane. Wait at least 6 months after completing Accutane before beginning Isolaz treatments. Your Dermatologist will discuss you medication history during your consultation.
