Dr. Brooks is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon with a focus on hair disorders. She offers expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with a commitment to providing personalized care and education for her patients. She provides comprehensive dermatologic care with a particular clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of non-scarring and scarring alopecia (hair loss).
Dr. Brooks began her academic journey at Brown University followed by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where she was selected for the prestigious Clinical Scientist Training Program. There she contributed to cutting-edge research on skin cancer vaccines, which garnered the attention of the dermatology community through invited national conferences.
Dr. Brooks graduated Magna Cum Laude as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and her academic achievements were further recognized with the Bernhard A. Goldmann Prize for Excellence in Dermatology. Upon graduation, she completed training in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard in Boston where she served as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Harvard Medical School. She then completed her Dermatology Residency at Brown University where she continued to publish articles in leading medical journals, co-author textbook chapters, and present at national meetings.
Dr Brooks regularly attends national meetings to provide the most updated treatments for her patients and has traveled around the country to learn the most cutting-edge hair transplantation and non-surgical hair restoration techniques from leading experts. She is excited to join the stellar hair restoration team at Fairfield Dermatology.
Outside of work, Dr. Brooks enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, as well as reading, writing, and music. A Fairfield County native and Staples High School alumna, Dr. Brooks is delighted to be back in her hometown community.
