Kelly Caione is a doctorally prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Fairfield University.
Kelly completed her undergraduate education at Fordham University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biological Sciences. Her career in healthcare began at Fairfield Dermatology, where she discovered a passion for the specialty while working as a medical assistant under Dr. Jason McBean.
Kelly went on to pursue her nursing education at Columbia University and Fairfield University, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses and awarded Outstanding Graduate Student. Her doctoral project focused on improving the quality of skin cancer preventive care delivered in the primary care setting, with an emphasis on increasing awareness about skin cancer in patients with skin of color. During her education, she completed clinical rotations in adult primary care, women’s health, and pediatrics, as well as specialty training in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Kelly has received extensive dermatologic training under Drs. Jason McBean and Elizabeth Smith. Alongside her background in dermatology, she brings years of registered nursing experience in primary care pediatrics and remains deeply committed to working with children and families. Her experience has shaped her clinical approach, strengthening her dedication to equitable, compassionate, and patient-centered care across the lifespan. She is honored to return to Fairfield Dermatology to provide exceptional medical and cosmetic dermatologic care.
Kelly is a proud graduate of Fairfield Warde High School and adores the community she has always called home.
