At Fairfield Dermatology, we are committed to providing excellent medical and cosmetic dermatologic care while maintaining clear and transparent financial policies. We believe that patients should understand their financial responsibility before receiving care.  This page outlines our financial policies, insurance information, cancellation policy, and available financing options.

Insurance & Patient Responsibility

Fairfield Dermatology participates with many insurance plans.

Insurance coverage varies by plan, and it is the patient’s responsibility to understand their individual benefits, including:

• • Deductibles
  • Copays
  • Coinsurance
  • Referral requirements
  • Covered vs. non-covered services

Patients are responsible for any portion of the bill not covered by their insurance plan.

Payment Policies

Payment is expected at the time of service for:

• • Copays
  • Coinsurance
  • Cosmetic services
  • Products
  • Outstanding balances

We accept major credit cards, cash, and other approved payment methods.  If your account becomes overdue, you may be responsible for additional collection costs in accordance with our financial agreement.

Cosmetic & Non-Covered Services

Cosmetic procedures and certain dermatologic treatments are not covered by insurance and must be paid for at the time of service.  Cosmetic procedures require a deposit at the time of booking, which will be applied toward your treatment.  Deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is not cancelled within the required cancellation window. 

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that schedules change and unexpected things happen.  However, missed appointments prevent us from providing care to other patients.  If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance (some procedures require 72 hours’ notice).

Financing Options

Patients may use their Care Credit to pay for cosmetic services and medical out-of-pocket expenses.
